Single row cylindrical roller bearings with cage consists of inner ring ,outer rings ,cylindrical roller and cage . The outer rings have rigid ribs on both sides or no ribs, the inner rings have one or two rigid ribs or are designed without ribs. The cage prevents cylindrical rollers from coming into contact with each other during rolling.
The cylindrical roller bearings with cage have high rigidity, it can withstand high radial load ,and due to the cage, this kind of bearing are more suitable for higher speeds compared to full complement designs. Bearings with the suffix E have a higher load capacity through internal design optimization , and are suitable for higher load carrying capacity working situation.
The bearings are separable for easy installation and removal. Both inner and outer rings can be fit tight .
Single row cylindrical roller bearings with cage are available as non-locating, semi-locating and locating bearings.
DY bearings have lower roughness Ra and higher geometrical accuracy of the raceways than standard designs. As a result, DY bearings have higher load carrying capacity and longer service life among the same dimension bearing. In certain applications, this means that a smaller bearing can be used.
DY single row cylindrical roller bearings can withstand heavy radial loads for high-speed. The main difference of different bearing designs is that the ribs arrangement.
NU type: outer side with ribs, inner ring no ribs, allow shaft produce axial displacement in both directions between the bearing housing.
N-type: inner ring with ribs on both sides, outer ring without ribs, allow shaft produce axial displacement in both directions between the bearing housing.
NJ type: outer ring with rib on both side, inner ring one side with rib. The bearing can be used in a direction for axial location.
NUP type: outer ring with ribs on both side , inner ring one side with rib and a detachable collar. It can be used as fixed-end bearings, positioned axially in both directions.
Allowable inclination angle
If the relative tilt angle of the inner and outer ring does not exceed the following values, the bearing's rated life will not be significantly reduced.
The tilt angle of 10, 19, 2, 3, 4 series bearings is 4’.
The tilt angle of 22, 23 series bearings is 3’.
Above the reference value is only applicable to the floating end bearing, and the angle between the shaft and the bearing error remains unchanged, in some cases, it can withstand a greater angle error, but it may shorten the bearing life.
Non-locating bearings
Cylindrical roller bearings of N design and NU design are non-locating bearings and they can only support radial forces .
Semi-locating bearing
Cylindrical roller bearings of NJ design are semi-locating bearings. They can support not only high radial forces but also axial forces , therefore , it can locate the shafts in one direction. They act as non-locating bearings in the opposite direction.
Locating bearings
Cylindrical roller bearings NUP design and NJ design with L type separate thrust collar HJ are locating bearings.
Locating bearings can support axial forces from both directions as well as radial forces , therefore it can locate shafts in two directions.
